The next places are held by several private engineering schools, after India's leading engineering institutes, such as IITs and NITs.  The score of national entry tests, such as JEE, for admission to the courses, is admitted by most private engineering colleges. In 1964, one of India's prestigious institutes, BITS, was founded. It offers bachelor's degrees, blended programs, Ph.D. programs, and postgraduate degrees. It began offering pharmacy classes, too. A deemed university status has been granted by the UGC and it is accredited by NAAC with an A ranking.

3. Thapar Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Patiala

The University of Thapar was founded in 2007 and is believed to be one of India's youngest universities. The institute's two-year Master in Computer Applications is very common throughout the world. The university has UGC clearance.

4. Birla Institute Of Technology, Ranchi

The institute was established in 1955 and the UGC awarded the assumed university status. AICTE, UGC, NAAC, ACU, and others have approved and recognized the institute. It conducts both undergraduate and postgraduate engineering classes.

5. Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal

Manipal University is affiliated with MIT, which was founded in 1957. It is one of the first engineering colleges in the world to be self-financed. It also provides master's programs in science, such as chemistry, geology, and physics, in addition to a wide variety of engineering courses.
